March 17, 2025   Happy St. Patrick's Day and Grace arrived today!  


Rod and I traveled to Florence, about an hour and ten minutes away, to pick up Grace from Amerigo Vespucci Airport. (That airport name ought to trigger some memories from a history class in your past!) She experienced turbulence coming out of Detroit which delayed dinner for two hours, but other than that, the flights were fine. We grabbed her some lunch and a cappuccino (to keep her awake until 8pm to make the adjustment to the time change) and visited back at the villa. Then we took a short walk, and topped the day off with a second dinner cooked by our host's husband who is a professional chef.  See photos below!
