March 29, 2025  Our Second trip to Santa Maria Del Monte with Collin along.


We repeated our visit on March 23 to the Sacred Mount with Collin. We went up the funicular and visited the Cathedral and the home of the artist, Pogliaghi. Here are pictures of us enjoying the sites a second time.

 March 5-6, 2025.  We have safely arrived in Tuscany! It was a total of 24 hours of continuous traveling from door to door (Allendale to Montelopio). The views and weather are worth it!  The temperatures are highs in the upper 60s during the day and lows in the 40s at night.  The "Core 4" (that's shorthand for Rod, Katie, Paul, and Clare) playing Euchre in the Chicago airport during our 5 hour layover.  March 8, 2025  Today we explored the town of Peccioli, Italy which has its origins dating back to medieval times. The town's most notable historical feature is the Pieve di San Verano church built around the 11th-12th century.  We had our first gelato of the trip while in Peccioli. Yum!
