April 16, 2025   A Broken Toe and a Rainy Day


Today was almost an all-day-rain so we did very little which was good because I started the morning by stubbing my toe very hard. It was not any different than a usual "stub" where you grab your toe and say "ouch!" It wasn't until later in the day that it began to hurt a little, so I took my sock off to look at it. It had the telltale signs of brokenness so I upgraded my injury from stubbed to broken.

Rod and the kids returned to St. Paul's by car to buy souvenirs while I stayed home to rest. After dinner, we finished One Piece and played cards.

 March 5-6, 2025.  We have safely arrived in Tuscany! It was a total of 24 hours of continuous traveling from door to door (Allendale to Montelopio).  March 8, 2025  Today we explored the town of Peccioli, Italy which has its origins dating back to medieval times. The town's most notable historical feature is the Pieve di San Verano church built around the 11th-12th century.  We had our first gelato of the trip while in Peccioli. Yum!
