May 15, 2025   Hanging Out Around Stirling


Today was Casey's last full day in Scotland so we returned her rental car, rattled around Stirling, finished her souvenir shopping, went out to dinner, and walked home the long way through King's Park with the sun beginning to set.


Aaron was a first rate navigator for Casey. They never got lost!

They remain on speaking terms after a week of riding together.

Casey treated us to milk shakes.

 March 5-6, 2025.  We have safely arrived in Tuscany! It was a total of 24 hours of continuous traveling from door to door (Allendale to Montelopio). The views and weather are worth it!  The temperatures are highs in the upper 60s during the day and lows in the 40s at night.  The "Core 4" (that's shorthand for Rod, Katie, Paul, and Clare) playing Euchre in the Chicago airport during our 5 hour layover.  March 8, 2025  Today we explored the town of Peccioli, Italy which has its origins dating back to medieval times. The town's most notable historical feature is the Pieve di San Verano church built around the 11th-12th century.  We had our first gelato of the trip while in Peccioli. Yum!
