Today was more walking around Stirling. We all went out in the morning and just Rod and I went out walking in the afternoon.

Rod and I took a walk and came upon an area called the King's Knot. Here is some information about it. "The King’s Knot is on the grounds of the ancient King’s Park, Crown property from at least the 1100s, where Scotland’s royalty partook in jousting, hawking and hunting. The earthworks known as the King’s (at the top of the photo in greater relief) and Queen's Knots (the smaller bit towards the right side of the photo)
were part of the formal gardens of Stirling Castle. These were remodeled for Charles I’s homecoming for his Scottish coronation, which took place in 1633. It was subject to extensive restoration under orders of Queen Victoria in 1842."
It's a bit of a dog park and walker's paradise now. Here is a photo from above off the internet. I read somewhere that it was a garden meant to be viewed from the castle far above on the ridge to impress guests.

| I'm not sure if this is a raven or a crow, (where's Collin when you need a bird identified?), but they are everywhere. |
