March 16, 2025   A lazy Sunday and a link to Airbnb to see our Villa.

We went to Mass for the second time at the 1000+ year old Santa Maria Assunta in Fabbrica and visited with Anna, the English speaking college student I mentioned before, and Dom (Father) Tommi, although he speaks no English. Anna helped interpret. We found out that Italy is having a priest shortage and they currently have no one in seminary from their diocese.

We took a long walk in the countryside, did some laundry, ate leftovers, and watched The Sixth Sense.

It was a little chilly today.  Behind Rod is the "castle", as our host Georgia calls it.

These old large villas quite often include a small chapel and according to our host, the current owners are required to maintain them as is.

Inside the chapel.

We haven't gotten a good lesson in olive tree cultivating yet, but we have been struck with how old some of these groves look. The center original tree looks gone and sprouts seem to be in production now.

Here's our left over dinner with the beautiful sun pouring in.

Laundry day! Not many people here have dryers.

This toaster cracks me up! You put the bread in and lower it down. At least you don't burn your fingers getting the toast out.
